Brendon Archer " the King of Coaches "

Brendon returned to the Pilbara in 2014 after spending five years in the Cocos Islands with his family.  He has since settled here in Dampier with his wife and family and fully immersed himself in the community, contributing huge amounts of time and energy to a variety of clubs and groups.

Currently the current President of the Dampier Junior Sharks Football Club, Brendon has been a driving force in the Club since 2015.  He currently coaches the U11’s and U13’s and has done so since 2015.  Brendon puts his hand up to umpire as needed and is always down at the footy pitch on game day, setting out the field for all age groups.

Brendon is a member of the North Pilbara Football Association Committee and continues to ensure that Dampier is well represented in the Association.

An integral part of the West Pilbara Cricket Association, Brendon has been involved with the Redback Junior Cricket Club since 2016.  Initially Assistant Coach from 2016 to 2017, then he took on the role of Coach in 2017, a position he still holds today.  Brendon has also umpired throughout these years.

His dedication to coaching both junior cricket and football has seen the kids thrive.

Brendon has been involved with the planning, organising, set up and pack down of the annual Dampier Billy Cart Derby each year since the inaugural event in 2016.

This is the third time Brendon has been nominated for the Dampier Citizen of the Year awards, this year he was nominated by Tarita O’Brien.
