Tracey Stewart - "The town Crier"
Tracey has proudly called Dampier home for 25 years. Along with her husband Noel they have proudly raised three ‘Fortescue Ferals’ and are now enjoying their new generation of baby ‘Ferals’.
Tracey is very passionate about her community and sport in particular. From the time her own were babies, Tracey was ever present always giving of her time and energy. From playgroup days, through to primary and high school years, she was involved in a variety of roles with their clubs, groups and the school P&C Association.
Always a strong advocate for the Dampier Sharks, Tracey spent several years on both the Junior and Senior Football Club committees as well as the West Pilbara Junior Football League committee. Her signature 'GO YOU SHARKERS!!' screech rings out across the oval at all the Sharks home games, and every player knows the cry! To this day she is still the chief jumper washer for the Club!
A long serving committee member of the Dampier Sports Club, Tracey has always been willing to volunteer her time to work behind the bar and coordinate Club activities, including major refurbishment tasks.
She was involved with the Dampier Falcons Ladies Softball Club for 10 years, playing a major part in supporting the organisation of the 40th Anniversary DCA Shield Softball tournament in 2017.
Also part of the Dampier Karratha Teeball Association for 10 years, she was a coach across all age groups over these years.
Tracey has been a DCA committee member for a number of years, both in 2017-18 and many years ago, where she attended monthly meetings and always put her had up to help out at DCA events.
Tracey was nominated by Sharon Sewell.
