Tracey Bell - "Dampier's Queen Bell"
Tracey has spent most of her adult life here in Dampier, a town and community she has embraced and loved unconditionally. Although her two daughters were raised here and have since flown the coop, Tracey along with her husband Brendan are still fully immersed in life in Dampier.
Like so many Dampier Mums before her, Tracey threw herself into every organisation, group, club and association that touched her family, from Playgroup days through to Dampier Primary School days. Tracey was heavily involved with the P & C Association helping with many social and fundraising events from 1997 until 2007, including fetes, sundowners, quiz nights and a fabulous 40th anniversary celebration.
Tracey was pivotal in the establishment, coaching and running of the Dampier Netball Club. She took on various roles on the executive committee over her many years with the Club. She has been awarded lifetime membership of the Karratha Netball Association for over 10 years of service to Dampier Netball.
Being heavily involved with the Dampier Sharks Football Club for many years, Tracey has volunteered a lifetime of her own time at a grass roots level to help DSFC become the family friendly, fun, well respected Club it is today. In recognition of this she was awarded Club Member of the Year. She was also an active committee member and Treasurer of the Dampier Sports Club.
Cake baker, canteen helper, Christmas caroller, committee member, lollipop lady, parent helper, School Council member, Secretary, Treasurer and umpire, there are few roles Tracey hasn’t volunteered for over the past two decades in Dampier.
Tracey was nominated by Tracey Stewart.
