Jurat Reserve

Located on Haig Close, Dampier, Jurat Reserve is a sheltered and secluded parkland area with a large central grassed area, surrounded by established trees providing generous shade. The park also has a small, original playground (approximately 1970s built), barbecue facilities, picnic tables, drinking fountain and toilets.

The Reserve is a popular space for weddings, parties and other celebrations. While the space cannot be booked, planned functions at the space can be listed with the DCA to minimise the possibility of clashes/double-ups. Jurat Reserve is managed and maintained by Rio Tinto.

Lions Park

Located at 325 Central Avenue, Dampier, the Dampier Lions Park is a fenced space providing an undercover playground suitable for young children (pre and primary school aged). The park is surrounded by large trees, which shade much of the area as well as an open grassed space. There are also picnic tables, toilets, a drinking fountain and barbecue facilities witnin the park.

In 2015-16, the Dampier Community Association will be installing a road safety kiddies bike path at the Lions Park, aimed at young children (0-5 years).

The Dampier Lions Park is owned and maintained by the City of Karratha.

Town Centre Skate Park and Playground

Situated in the heart of Dampier, just off High Street, the Town Centre Skate Park and Playground combines recreational options for older and younger children in the one space.

The small L shaped concrete skate bowl features quarter, flat banks with hip, flat bar and ledge, providing fun options for both novice and more advanced skateboarders. While the nearby playground offers sandpit and play equipment for younger children to enjoy. The park has ample shade, grassy areas, a sheltered picnic table and drink fountain.

It is conveniently located within easy walking distance of the IGA supermarket, Hullabaloo Café and Dampier Primary School making it a popular destination for families.
